CÁCH PHÒNG TRỊ BỆNH CHO CÂY XƯƠNG RỒNG

– Bệnh thối gốc

Bệnh thối gốc xương rồng là bệnh phổ biến và nguy hiểm đối với tất cả các loại xương rồng.

Triệu chứng

Xuất hiện trên gốc hoặc các vết thương do chiết ghép cành. Ban đầu là các đốm thối chứa nhiều nước màu xám hoặc nâu đen, các chấm mốc màu đỏ tím hoặc màu trắng ở nơi tiếp giáp phần bệnh và phần khỏe. Khi bệnh lan rộng tới xung quanh thân, cây có thể bị khô và chết.

Nguyên nhân gây bệnh:

Bệnh thối gốc gây ra bởi nấm lưỡi liềm (Fusarium oxysporum Schlecht) thuộc lớp nấm bào tử sợi. Khi bón phân chưa hoai, côn trùng gây hại hoặc chiết ghép gây vết thương đều có lợi cho nấm phát triển. Nhiệt độ thuận lợi cho nấm phát triển là 25o – 30o. Độ ẩm càng cao bệnh càng nặng.

Phương pháp phòng trừ:

  • Chọn loại đất và phân hoai không nấm bệnh. Nếu đất đã nhiễm bệnh cần khử trùng bằng Formalin 50ml/m2 và đợi thuốc bay hơi hết mới đem trồng cây.

  • Công cụ chiết ghép phải được khử trùng bằng cồn 70o.

  • Cây bị bệnh cần phải nhổ bỏ và đốt đi, đồng thời cần khử trùng đất.

  • Định kỳ phun thuốc Daconil 0.1%

– Bệnh đốm than (thán thư)

Bệnh thán thư khá phổ biến trên cây xương rồng, nếu bệnh nặng có thể làm cây chết khô.

Triệu chứng

Cây bị bệnh thường có đốm nhiều nước màu nâu nhạt. Đốm bệnh dần dần lõm xuống và trên đốm xuất hiện các chấm đen nhỏ lồi lên, đó là quả nấm.

Nguyên nhân gây bệnh:

Bệnh đốm than cây xương rồng gây ra bởi nấm đĩa gai (Colletotrichum sp.) thuộc lớp bào tử xoang, bộ bào tử đĩa đen gây ra. Đĩa bào tử nhỏ, có lông cứng mọc rải rác, bào tử đơn bào không màu hình bầu dục dài. Bệnh thường gặp vào đầu mùa hạ và đầu mùa đông. Những loại xương rồng hình cầu rất nhạy cảm với loại bệnh này.

Phương pháp phòng trừ:

  • Tránh tưới nước quá nhiều, để cây nơi thoáng gió, nhiều nắng.

  • Khi bị bệnh cần kịp thời phun thuốc Boocdo 1% hoặc Daconil 0,1% hoặc Topsin 0,1%, phun vài lần cách nhau 7-10 ngày.

– Tuyến trùng hại xương rồng

Bệnh này chủ yếu xuất hiện trên xương rồng 6 cạnh.

Triệu chứng

Trên rễ chính và rễ bên hình thành nhiều u bướu nhỏ, lúc đầu nhẵn về sau thô dần. Cắt u ra thấy nhiều hạt nhỏ màu trắng đó chính là tuyến trùng cái. Bệnh có thể làm cho cây chết khô.

Nguyên nhân gây bệnh:

Bệnh gây ra bởi tuyến trùng Meloidogyne incognita Chitwood. Tuyến trùng đực và cái khác nhau. Con cái hình quả lê, ngòi miệng dài hơn con đực, âm hộ và lỗ hậu môn đối xứng với cổ, quanh thân có hoa văn như vân tay. Trứng hình bầu dục màu vàng nâu. Con đực miệng phình to, đoạn đuôi tù có một đôi gai giao phối.
Qua mùa đông tuyến trùng sẽ trưởng thành. Ấu trùng và trứng nằm bên trong đất, khi sang xuân nhiệt độ trên 12oC sẽ bắt đầu hoạt động. Nhiệt độ thích hợp cho sinh trưởng và phát triển là 20o -25oC. Đất ẩm có lợi cho tuyến trùng trong việc di chuyển tìm kiếm thức ăn và xâm nhập vào rễ cây.

Phương pháp phòng trừ:

  • Nhổ bỏ cây bị bệnh và đem đốt.

  • Khi đất nhiễm bệnh, khử trùng bằng Nemagon 2%, định lượng 3ml/ 1m2. Sau khi phun thuốc đậy đất lại bằng bao nilong để xông hơi trong 15 ngày.

  • Nếu bị bệnh nhẹ có thể dùng Furadan bón vào mỗi gốc 5-10g, dùng Nemagon 0,1% phun cho mỗi gốc 10ml-15ml.

  • Trộn vỏ trứng vào đất trồng có thể làm giảm tuyến trùng.

– Rệp sáp

Đặc điểm sinh học của rệp sáp

Rệp sáp hại xương rồng (Diaspis echinocacti Bouche) thuộc bộ cánh đều họ rệp sáp hình thuẫn. Chúng dùng miệng chích hút nhựa cây xương rồng làm cây bị yếu. Rệp cái hơi tròn, dài 1,2mm rộng 1 mm, thân lồi lên màu trắng, có lúc màu hơi vàng, giữa vỏ màu nâu sẫm. Rệp đực dài khoảng 1mm màu trắng. Mỗi năm chúng sinh sản 2-3 lứa vào tháng 5-7 và tháng 10.

Phương pháp phòng trừ:

  • Dùng bàn chải đánh răng chải sạch rệp khỏi cây.

  • Trong thời kỳ rệp nở dùng thuốc DDVP 0,1% hoặc pha lưu huỳnh + vôi 0,5% và Malathion 0,2% hoặc Sumithion 0,1% để diệt rệp con.
